xmlwebpackage : What is it? Well its basically using the same idea as a compiled help file (eg. chm). But, the content will be stored in plain text in an xml file, then zipped into a non compressed archive along with the pictures and other document related files. When the page is requested by the client, the picture files are streamed straight from the archive by the web server as if they were separate files. All this content will then be combined and formatted using a specified Dreamweaver template file. So content can simply be 'plugged' into the website and the rest is generated from the template. So benefits...change the template and the whole site changes. Drawbacks? well probably updating content, although because the archives will not be compressed this shouldn't be too difficult.
